While the family serviced pizza shops, they saw a need for independent pizza shops to have a custom printed pizza box without ordering large quantities. Holly’s was the first company in the country to develop the process to make custom printed pizza boxes available and affordable to the independent pizza shop market.

In 1997 John and Dorthy sold the food distribution division and changes its name to Holly Custom Print to concentrate solely on the pizza box product line. In doing so they moved the printing operation to a 76,000 square ft facility where we are located today in Hebron, Ohio.   Steve Hollingshead, who spent nearly 40 years as the President of the pizza box organization, was instrumental in leading the growth and innovation of this business.

On January 6, 2015, the co-founder John passed at 5:01 pm on a Friday. John held on until the week was over, and the day was done, just as he always did with his work ethic. His wife Dorthy Hollingshead is doing well to this day.

Although John, Debra, and Steve (President) recently retired, the family tradition is carried on with Chris Hollingshead, his son Brad, and his nephew Austin.

The company continues to be the leader in the industry, now manufacturing and distributing their custom food boxes through a vast network of foodservice wholesalers.
